Mom's Day

(Written for my mom in 2000... but for all mom's on Mother's Day from their kids... let these words be for you. May you be encouraged not just on Mother's day, but on everyday of the year by the truth that your babes think you're the best. God has given you the highest calling and may your children rise up and call you blessed.)

The sun shines brighter
For you this day
It's God's way of telling you
He loves you today
You've made Him so proud
Of all that you've done
But guess what
He's not the only one
I've just told Him
That I'm proud too
Of all the things
My mom can do
It's true I'm thankful
For what Jesus has done
And how He's blessed me
With a Godly mom
A mom who prays
A mom who cares
A mom who loves
A mom who shares
I am where I am
Because of Jesus today
And having a mom
Who helped show me the way
