Rest in His Time

Lord you’ve given me so much
Already I’m amazed
I would have been contented
With just Your mercy and Your grace

But in Your love
You’ve poured out so much more
Blessing and responsibilities
Greater things in store

You have taught me that I can’t cling
To anyone but You
And now he’s walked into my life
And I’m wondering what to do

Will he be no different
Than the ones that I’ve let go
Is there something, Lord
That I still need to know

I’m not doing this without You
Like I did the times before
Lord, let my heart discern this one
A closed or open door

I will pray for him for he is Yours
Right now he is not mine
And find me trusting in Your promise
And resting in your time
